Alex in Olympic Honors, 2025 January 29, 2025, Don Simpson, Gateway Regional High School, Conductor, Calvin Spencer--Senior High Manager: Alex was named 1st Chair & Solo Trumpet after a very successful audition (only 15 trumpets accepted into this prestigious group). The whole thing is worth listening to, but especially check out his solo in the "Mambo" piece (for which he learned how to do a "shake")
